1. (SBU) In response to Reftel, POLOFF delivered requested
demarche on the candidacy of Lucretia F. Myers for
re-election to the International Civil Service Commission
(ICSC) to Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Director
of the Second United Nations Division Ambassador M. K.
Ibrahim on August 27. Ambassador Ibrahim said he generally
supported the candidacy of Ms. Myers, but stopped short of
committing specifically to voting for her.
