1. (U) On February 25, Poloff delivered ref A demarche to
Michael Ndivaele, director of multilateral affairs at the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs. Ndivaele had no substantive comments on
Namibia's position, but took considerable interest in the subject,
including requesting follow-up information on the USG position.
Poloff in turn supplied Ndivaele with a link to A/S Posner's speech
per reftel and highlighted language in the draft resolution that
the USG finds problematic.
