The three were deployed by the police department to guard the house of the murdered man.
The media reports that the three are suspended from the force.
The incidence of policemen involved in crime in Fiji has shot up drastically. One report stated that during the past 12 months, 18 cases of crime were reported in which police were the major suspects.
The morale in the police force has declined considerably since the revelation that the Police Commission Isikia Savua was involved with the terrorists in trying to overthrow the elected government. Public confidence in Savua and the police force has collapsed.
