At a time when opposition to the coming Crusade against Iraq, a war to extend Imperial domination and impose Western Values on Muslim Land, is increasing, the government can always rely on bringing out a common scapegoat to garner support and subvert public opinion.

There is a political motive behind the raid, and a longer-term vision being executed by the Home Office.

Are the Public to be fooled into thinking that a masjid that has the whole world watching its every move would be used as an arms cache?

At present the UK regime is trying to fool the public into believing there is a link between Weapons of Mass Destruction and "Terrorists". Are we to believe a can of CS gas, a stun gun and a replica firearm are the weapons of choice for Al Qaeda? In fact more weapons typical of terrorists were found at the residence of a Briton convicted of preparing to wage a race hate war than all Muslims arrested to date; in that instance did we hear of a link being between the Far Right and terrorism? Indeed that is assuming the "evidence" was not planted there in the first place, instances of evidence tampering by British Police are well documented, one such case was that of the Birmingham Six.

The current use of shock tactics is designed to create a siege mentality amongst the Muslim Community, they hope to cower us into submission. Another tool they have used effectively has been that of creating division between Muslims; by demonising and alienating a body of Muslims they reduce the potential backlash from within the Muslim community. In addition to the demonising of certain Muslims another common scapegoat has been the phenomenon of refugees and asylum seekers. By drawing on the same bigotry that Enoch Powell did in the 70s, politicians in the UK, and indeed throughout Europe have used this issue to gain much-needed votes.

As part of the media hysteria, objections have been raised in regard to "politically charged sermons", however, the fact is that Muslims are yearning for information that actually awakens and empowers them. Every Muslim knows that Islam is a complete way of life, one that encompasses politics, economics etc; a way of life that considers each Muslim to be part of a worldwide community of believers (an Ummah).

The current frenzy that has ensued is akin to McCarthyism and is a prelude to a new 21st century Inquisition, a witch-hunt for ANY Muslim who desires to say the truth. Those that dare expose the barbaric regimes imposed in our own lands and the Crusade against Islam perpetrated by the Western capitalist states.

One can only conclude that the message to ALL Muslims from the government is: "Follow a version of Islam we handpick for you, defined by people who we appoint for you". An Islam that can be twisted to fit secular European cultural values. An Islam who's Qibla is in Downing Street not in Mecca, whose allegiance is to the Queen and her cohorts not Allah (SWT) and His Rasul (SAW).

This trend is being echoed throughout Europe, a Europe united in its animosity against its indigenous Muslim presence. Recently Germany banned a peaceful Islamic group that preaches that Islam is a complete way of life, France already appoints its own Imams; perhaps UK will follow suite; freedom for worship obviously does not apply to Islam.
