Korea, Japan to hold foreign minister talks

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Ban Ki-moon will meet with his Japanese counterpart, Taro Aso, on Monday (Nov. 14) to discuss how to improve their countries' strained relations, Ban's aids said on Friday.

At the meeting in Busan, they will also focus on how to cooperate for a peaceful resolution of the North Korean nuclear crisis, according to the aides.

Although South Korea and Japan have been working together on the North Korean nuclear issue, they have bilateral (regional) matters to resolve including Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's repeated visits to a controversial war shrine.
