Take Back Washington Sends Film
Crew To D.C.
Next Stop: Las Vegas, NV
Columbia, MO October 11, 2006 Washington DC is the temporary home to politicians, Heads of State, and international travelers, but in late September it became the transitory home of Take Back Washington. Shooting for his fourth documentary, William Lewis and crew spent two jam-packed weeks in downtown D.C. interviewing participants from several activist groups. Lewis conducted interviews with visitors and some of the homeless in the area, as well, getting their opinions on how to return government to “We The People.” The exhilarating energy of D.C. is being absorbed by the new project, “Washington, You’re Fired.” The project, in its beginning stages, is emanating the will of the people involved.
Representatives from Veterans for 9-11 Truth, Veterans for Peace, 9-11 Eyewitness, Iraq Veterans Against the War, The Green Party, Camp Democracy, and numerous other individuals were there exercising their constitutional right to be heard. Speaking in front of the White House, the Washington Monument, on the National Mall, and on the Capitol Building steps, people from all over the United States were standing up and trying to make a difference for the population of this once-great nation. The rejuvenating energy of the people making a difference was utterly inspiring.
The making of “Washington, You’re Fired” is in response to the overwhelming questions being raised by the just released documentary “One Nation Under Siege” (www.undersiegemovie.com). Many of those viewing this recent release now wish to find ways to take action and make real change in America. Issues discussed in the documentary involve the attack waged on the United States Constitution by the USA PATRIOT Act, the brainwashing of our children by the US Education system, forced vaccination, community policing, the National Animal ID Act, our government’s big brother activities, mainstream media’s lack of true journalistic integrity, and more.
Take Back Washington will be making a sweep through the Western part of the United States, in early November, looking for more voices to share ideas and opinions about bringing unity to our once-great nation. If you are in the Kansas City, Denver, or Las Vegas areas, please feel free to contact the Take Back Washington team at thepeople@takebackwashington.com for your chance to participate in this countrywide event.
