McCain Health Care Plan Vs Obama's, Clinton's Plan

Physicians Say McCain's Health Care Plan more Realistic than Obama's and Clinton's Plan

Flemington, NJ, April 7, 2008 - A national study among 603 physicians revealed that based on their knowledge of the proposed health care plans, physicians reported that Senator McCain's plan is more realistic in terms of implementation than Senator Hillary Clinton's and Senator Barack Obama's plan.

The communications research study was conducted by HCD Research and the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion during April 3-4 to obtain physicians' views on the presidential candidates' proposed health care plans. To view detailed results go to: www.hcdi.net

Among the study findings:

* Based on your knowledge of the proposed health care plans by the three presidential candidates, which plan is more realistic in terms of implementation?

McCain's plan - 44%
Obama's plan - 17%
Clinton's Plan - 12%
Undecided - 27%

* When physicians were provided with a brief summary of the candidates' health care plans with no attribution, they were evenly split among the candidates, with 27% reporting that Obama's plan would optimize the U.S. health care system, compared to 26% for McCain's plan, 21% for Clinton's plan, and 26% who were undecided.
