Hindus glad that pop icon Madonna finally “woke up”
Hindus are happy to note that American entertainer Madonna finally “woke up”.
Writing an exclusive article in July 31 edition of Israeli daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Madonna wrote that she was looking for an answer for quite some time which she has now found in Kabbalah.
Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that they were happy that Madonna finally “found an answer” to her quest for the meaning of life. But, if she wanted, she was still welcome back to further explore the rich philosophical thought of Hinduism in the future. He or other Hindu scholars would gladly assist her, Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, added.
Madonna writes in this article titled “I found an answer” that she felt “something was missing in my life”. “I was raised a Catholic… but none of my questions ever really got answered…I was practicing Yoga for years and studying Sanskrit. I had read many books by the great Yogi Masters and Indian Avatars. I studied Buddhism and the teachings of the Dali Lama. I studied Taoism and the Art of War…I read about the Gnostics and the early Christians. I learned a lot and I was very inspired but I still could not connect the dots…”.
Talking about her exploration of Kabbalah, Madonna further wrote: “All the questions I had about life began to be answered…All the puzzle pieces started falling into place…I woke up…I also began to see that being Rich and Famous wasn't going to bring me lasting fulfillment…it was the beginning of the journey.”
Kabbalah (Qabbalah) incorporates teachings of Jewish mystics. Hinduism is the oldest religion of the world and moksha (liberation) is its ultimate goal. Golden Globe winner Madonna (Evita) is singer-actress-dancer- songwriter- record producer- film director & producer-author-entrepreneur- fashion designer-etc., and Rolling Stone described her as “one of the greatest pop acts of all time”.
