Staples' Employees Choose a Charity and Change Lives

New employee giving program launched in 21 countries

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, Corporate Express is pleased to announce the Australian and New Zealand charities that were selected as part of the global Staples’ Employees Choose a Charity program.

The Choose a Charity program has been funded by the Staples Foundation for Learning (SFFL), the charitable arm of the US-based office solutions retailer. Employees were invited to nominate a non-profit organisation focused on education or job skills training, in support of the mission of SFFL. Staples International will make donations totalling $85,000 USD employee chosen charities across the world.

Staples International notified the selected organisations, worldwide today about their selection, and as a result, they will be receiving funding from the foundation to further support their worthy endeavours to make a positive impact in the community. In Australia and New Zealand, the following organisations were nominated by employees and will receive funding:

* Australian Indigenous Education Foundation
* Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation
* Clontarf Foundation
* Duffy Books in Homes
* Fitzroy Learning Network
* Indigenous Literacy Project
* L.E.A.R.N.
* Orana
* RAS Foundation
