Subway® Pro Cycling Team in Hunt for Sprint Jersey at Tour De Korea

The SUBWAY® Pro Cycling Team is focused on the sprint classification at the Tour de Korea that enters its fourth day of racing today.

After three days of racing which included two stages of over 200 kilometres, SUBWAY® Pro Cycling’s Paul Odlin lies second equal, just three points off the leader in the sprint competition.

SUBWAY® Pro Cycling’s General Manger Hayden Godfrey said the team was working “unbelievably well as a tight unit,” with a focus now on the sprint classification and a top 10 general classification result for Odlin.

“It’s been hard racing but the guys are all going well and are now totally committed to helping Paul pick up sprint points.”

Odlin has made several key breaks in the racing so far, and yesterday received a prefect lead out from his team mates out to win stage three’s only sprint points of the day.

There has been a fair amount of climbing and fast descents in the racing to date, with Odlin especially enjoying the downhill sections.

“My down hilling has improved and I’m finding the lack of Europeans means that it’s easy to get to the front,” Odlin said.

“We start each day hunting for breaks to get in the mix for the sprint points.”

Today’s stage four is a shorter 137 kilometres that features only one hill climb and starts in Gunsan and finishes in Dandjin.

Godfrey expects riders will enjoy the shorter distance but says the racing will be faster.
