Solomon Islands’ flag carrier flew its new Airbus A320 from Honiara to Port Moresby and to Nadi in Fiji on trial flights for the first time last week. Unlike its previous jet aircraft, which were leased, the airline owns the new A320.

Cook Islands introduces this season’s
levies
The Cook Islands government has introduced seasonal levies on imported fruit and vegetables as of last week. The levy was introduced in 2006 to protect the local produce market from a flood of imported fruits and vegetables.
