National Human Rights Commission with a number of community leaders, religious and civic organizations urged the cessation of violence in Papua. The appeal is summarized in a resolution brought before the National Human Rights Commission office in Jalan Latuharhary, Menteng, Central Jakarta, yesterday:
"There are six points of this resolution which will we convey to the government for further action. Urgent problems of violence in Papua completed, one of them through dialogue, "said Ifdhal Kasim, Chairman of Komnas HAM.
Six resolutions were, first, to fix the
security management by evaluating officers on
duty.
Second, fix the public order management in
enforcing the law, not involved troop Brigade (Brimob) or
the Special Detachment 88 Antiterror.
Third, stopping all
forms of intimidation against the people of Papua.
Fourth, law enforcement in a fair and continuously, especially incidents that result in fatalities. Fifth, the government immediately establish a dialogue with dignity. And sixth, the realization of development in education, health, and economic priority to residents in the interior of Papua.
One of the deadly violence that is when
the dissolution of the Papuan People's Congress in Abepura,

Fadhal Sayid al-Hamid, the Papuan people need space
consolidation as a way to dialogue with the
government.

reproach and suspicion between the people and government
officials. "The space is consolidated as a matter of
political policy in the future," said Sayid in a hearing
with the House Administration Committee yesterday.
He deplored the violence allegedly committed the military lately. Sayid claimed the role of the security forces sometimes inhumane towards Papuans. He cited the arrest of some 300 people involved in a meeting. They were escorted to the police station while being spat upon and reviled.
Vice Chairman of the House Administration Committee Hayono Isman support military action that entailed the cessation of violence in Papua. He believes dialogue is the best way to resolve conflicts on Earth Paradise. "I agreed to choose the path of peace without violence," said Hayono Isman.
