JENIN, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped at dawn Thursday two Palestinian citizens in Jenin city, including a prominent Hamas official, and violently raided the house of another activist from the movement.
Local sources reported that the IOF stormed into Jalboun town south of Jenin at two o'clock this morning and kidnapped Hamas official Tawfiq Abul-Rab, a teacher, from his home and took him to an unknown destination.
Abul-Rab has been detained and interrogated several times by the Palestinian authority security forces, the latest of which was a few days ago.
The IOF also broke into and ransacked the house of another Hamas activist, Hisham Abul-Rab and questioned his family members at gunpoint.
This Hamas activist was released about two weeks ago from a PA jail and before that was dismissed from his job in Jenin court because of his affiliation with Hamas.
The IOF also stormed Kafr Raie town south of Jenin and kidnapped a Palestinian citizen named Ibrahim Milhem after a violent raid on his house.
The Israeli and PA forces have intensified their detention campaigns lately against Hamas cadres and supporters in Jenin city.
Earlier last night, the IOF waged a violent raid on a number of homes in Yatta town south of Al-Khalil city, kidnapped two young Palestinian men, and summoned another for interrogation.
In a separate incident late last night, a bunch of extremist Jewish settlers attacked a Palestinian citizen called Ahmed Sabarneh from Beit Ummar town, and smashed the windows of his vehicle. The citizen sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.
