Tunstall Australasia Honoured by Australian Red Cross

Media Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tunstall Australasia Honoured by Australian Red Cross Humanitarian Partner Award

On Wednesday 16 May, Tunstall Australasia received a national Red Cross Humanitarian Partner Award for outstanding service to Red Cross.

According to Red Cross ACT/SE NSW Executive Director, Joan Hughes, Tunstall offers outstanding assistance and support to the not for profit organisations.

“Their corporate goals, values and commitment align perfectly with our ways of working – supporting our clients to stay safe and connected within their community through partnerships with other organisations”.

Tunstall provides Red Cross with personal alarms, telecare equipment and 24 hour response monitoring; a lifesaving service that Red Cross ACT/SE NSW provides to many of its clients.

Tunstall’s Marketing and Strategy Implementation Manager Lisa Capamagian was honoured to receive the award on Tunstall’s behalf.

“In a home emergency, Tunstall is often the first line of contact for vulnerable and distressed clients, and we are privileged to work with Red Cross to provide this service in the ACT and also Tasmania” Ms Capamagian said.

The comments from Red Cross clients show how importance the service is to them:

“…response was truly marvellous with the call centre monitoring the situation right throughout, during and after paramedic attendance into the following day to ensure I was alright”.

Tunstall Healthcare is part of the Tunstall Group, the world’s leading provider of Telehealthcare, supporting more than 2.6 million people to remain safe and independent in their own homes.
