Prisoner Samer Barq Continues His Hunger Strike

Prisoner Samer Barq Continues His Hunger Strike

11-06-2012

Al Qassam - Ramallah- The captive Samer Barq continued his open hunger strike to protest the ongoing administrative detention against him by the occupation authorities.

The occupation authorities have continued detaining the prisoner Barq, from Jayyous village, since July 11, 2010 until today, with no charge.

Despite of captive Barq's participation in the prisoners' "empty stomachs" battle to protest the administrative detention, he was surprised on May 22, 2012 by the issuance of a new administrative detention order against him for three months. Thus, he resumed his hunger strike which is still ongoing.

According to the prisoner Samer's lawyer, the occupation authorities are putting impossible conditions before him and demanded a document issued by Pakistani official bodies expressing their willingness to allow Samer to enter Pakistan to meet his wife there.
