Ministry of Interior deplores the continued Israeli escalation and targeting the headquarters of national security at Al-Saraya in central Gaza, which led to wounding 8 civilians and outbreak of fire in the place and windows of houses in the area were smashed.
The Ministry of Interior emphasizes that the raid on Al-Saraya building damaged a large number of civilian and military vehicles as well as a number of nearby residential towers, houses and shops and maintenance workshop of vehicles and other administrative offices, and a state of terror and panic among the citizens in this densely populated area, as well as the targeting wounding 4 members of the National Security.
Based on what happened the Ministry of Interior confirms on the following:
1. The Interior Ministry condemns the continued Israeli escalation against our people in the Gaza Strip, and the brutal targeting for National Security at Al Saraya, which destroyed by the Israeli war planes during the war on the Gaza Strip three years ago.
2. We hold the Israeli occupation and his extremist government the responsibility for the consequences of any escalation and condemn the unjustified Zionist escalation and its crimes against our people disregarding children and women.
3. We appreciate the efforts of the security services' members, and we wish a speedy recovery for the wounded members of National Security.
4. We mourn a member of security and protection service the martyr Basem Ahmed, who was killed on Friday afternoon by the Israeli bombing targeted Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
5. We commend the role of civil defense's crews and their ability to put out the fire caused by a series of Israeli raids that targeted several areas in the Gaza Strip, and we note that the General Directorate of Civil Defense declared a state of emergency among their crews since last Wednesday because of the continuous escalation on the Gaza Strip.
6. We call on all citizens to stay away from places of bombardment and not to come together, to allow ambulance crews and civil defense to complete their work and to save the injured.
7. We call all concerned Arab and international bodies to immediately intervene to curb the Israeli war machine and protect the unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip.
