True Pacific Seeks New Producers To Join Its Success Story
After a year of significant gains in bringing the best quality products the Pacific has to offer to market, True Pacific is now looking to recruit a second round of producers to join the programme. Expressions of interest from potential producers close on Friday 18th January 2013.
True Pacific is an initiative of the New Zealand-based non-profit Pacific Cooperation Foundation (PCF), which works to make connections throughout the Pacific. True Pacific works closely with Pacific-based producers of food, beverage and unique artisan products, helping them to grow and reach new markets.
True Pacific Project Manager Frances Hartnell says True Pacific is looking for enterprises that produce high quality items in the Pacific, or use core ingredients sourced from the Pacific. Producers will be looking to grow their business by exporting to a larger market. Their products can be anything from food and beverages to spa and beauty items.
The True Pacific mark symbolises products that are of a genuine Pacific origin and meet strict quality standards. Products are assessed to certify they are of a high quality and that they have effective production systems in place.
“As well as our focus on the quality of products and how they are manufactured and processed, it’s just as important that potential partners can provide export markets on a consistent basis,” says Frances.
“We’re looking for producers who are committed to the ethos of True Pacific and what we’re trying to achieve.”
Being a licensed True Pacific producer can open up a whole raft of opportunities, providing access to expertise, including True Pacific’s network of contacts throughout the region, new distribution channels through working with agents in New Zealand, developing product ranges, systems and best practice marketing advice and support.
“We are about elevating, exposing and growing the market for high-quality Pacific products,” she adds.
“Anyone who wants to do the same for their business should strongly consider applying to come on board.”
Expressions of interest from potential producers are now open, and close on Friday 18th January 2013. For more information about True Pacific and how to become a True Pacific licenced producer, visit www.truepacific.com
