Iran: Reyhaneh Jabbari, 26-years-old university student and decorator hanged
Maryam Rajavi: Reyhaneh Jabbari's
hanging, is another sign of the clerical regime's savagery
and the other side of the coin of criminal acid attack on
innocent Iranian women and girls
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance described the hanging of Reyhaneh Jabbari, a 26- years old university student and a decorator as another sign of savagery and misogyny of the clerical regime.
Mrs. Rajavi said: The savage hanging of Reyhaneh Jabbari is the other side of the coin of the mullahs' anti-human crime of acid attacks against innocent Iranian women and girls.
Mrs. Rajavi urged international human rights organizations and women rights organizations to strongly condemn hanging of Reyhaneh Jabbari and to demand binding action to stop torture and executions in Iran.
Reyhaneh Jabbari, was hanged on Saturday (October 25) in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj by the clerical regime. She was incarcerated for seven years. She had been transferred to isolation in Gohardasht Prison from Gharchak Prison of the city of Varamin, the previous night.
The hanging of Reyhaneh took place upon the insistence of the top brass of the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) despite frequent calls by international organizations and human rights and women's rights activists.
The Iranian Resistance had repeatedly called for sparing
the life of this young girl and had held several campaigns
to this effect.
Ms. Rayhaneh Jabbari, was incarcerated
since seven and a half years ago when she stabbed an
intelligence agent in self-defense. She was 19 at the
time.
In a deceptive scheme, this intelligence agent intended to physically abuse Rayhaneh. The scuffle led to the death of the intelligence agent.
The mullahs’ henchmen subjected Rayhaneh to savage tortures to extract forced confession.
The mullahs' misogynist regime is attempting to intensify the atmosphere of terror in the society and to terrorize all women and youth who have not succumbed to the oppression and vulgarity of regime’s elements.
