ACI Airport Service Quality Award Ceremony in Jordan

ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly will Host ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award Ceremony Next Month in Jordan

[March 23, 2015 – Hong Kong] Top performing airports will be recognized for their achievements on customer services at theACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award Ceremony, to be held in conjunction with the 10th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference and Exhibition, April 27 – 29, 2015 in Dead Sea, Jordan.

Earlier in February, ACI World has announced the recipients of the 2014 ASQ Awards, the awards which recognize and reward the best airports in the world based on results of the ASQ passenger satisfaction surveys conducted throughout the year. The ASQ Awards are presented in four categories: Best Airport by Region, Best Airport by Size, Best Small Airport and Best Improvement.

In the Best Airport by Region category, the top 5 airports in Asia-Pacific are Seoul Incheon Airport, Singapore Changi Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport, Haikou Meilan International Airport and New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport. The top 5 airports in Middle East are Amman Queen Alia International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Tel Aviv Airport, Doha International Airport and Dubai International Airport.

In the Best Airport by Size categories, among the 25 airports named in the 5 different size categories, 19 are from the Asia-Pacific region. Langkawi International Airport is the Best Airport in Asia-Pacific with fewer than 2 million passengers per year while Kolkata Airport and Amman Queen Alia International Airport are named as the Best Improvement Airport in their respective regions.

In commenting on the 2014 ASQ Awards results, ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Director, Mrs. Patti Chau said, “I wish to congratulate the top performing airports in the 2014 ASQ Awards, in particular, airports from the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. All participating airports should be proud, for they have demonstrated dedicated efforts in delivering excellent customer service and commitment to exceed passengers’ expectations. It is our pleasure to welcome all the ASQ winners to Dead Sea, Jordan where the ASQ Award Ceremony will take place, in conjunction with our 10th Regional Assembly and Conference.”
