Tevita Vuibau
SUVA (The Fiji Times/Pacific Media Watch): The Fiji Times has bid farewell to New Zealand student journalist TJ Aumua who has been attached with the newspaper for the past two days as part of a Pacific Cooperation Foundation exchange programme she is undertaking in the country.

The Auckland University of Technology's Pacific Media Centre student, who had just completed her honours year, is working in newsrooms around the country for the next two weeks to get a feel of the media environment in Fiji.

"It was a really short time but I have enjoyed myself. I worked with the business team on Tuesday and that was really interesting and then I saw the Fiji Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama for the first time," Aumua said.

"I did sports yesterday and that was something I've never done before. But it has been good."

Her colleague, the PMC's Pacific Media Watch freedom project editor Alistar Kata, is in Samoa and student journalists from Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Samoa are in New Zealand.
