Weather Workshop: Short forecast for NZ

Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.

For Northland: Rain easing to a few showers from the north this
evening. Tomorrow fine apart from light showers about the east
coast.

From Auckland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: Showers
today in most places. Snow is possible to 800 metres in the high
country tonight which includes the Desert Road. Becoming fine
from the south tomorrow.

Bay of Plenty: Some brief rain today then becoming fine, fine
again tomorrow.

In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Showers and cold
southerlies working north to reach Gisborne this evening. A few
showers tomorrow but with increasing fine spells.

Wellington: Cold and showery for a time today. Clearing during
tomorrow.

Nelson: Brief showers clearing today. Fine and frosty tomorrow.

For Marlborough and Canterbury: Cold and showery today with snow
briefly to 500 metres. Slowly clearing from the south later.
Tomorrow mostly fine and frosty.

West of the South Island: Fine conditions spreading north today
and fine again tomorrow

In Otago and Southland: Remaining showers becoming confined to
the coast this afternoon with clearing skies inland. Frosty
overnight and fine tomorrow.

Chatham Islands: Cold and showery.
