Weather Workshop: All Districts forecast for NZ

Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:

The Situation: A high in the Tasman Sea is pushing a ridge onto the country. A weakening southwest flow covers most of New Zealand.

NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, COROMANDEL PENINSULA ,WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI, BAY OF PLENTY, ROTORUA, TAUPO, TARANAKI WANGANUI, MANAWATU, TAIHAPE: Mostly fine and sunny with frosts to sheltered places. Southwest breezes to most places but tending west to northwest in Wanganui and Manawatu later.

WELLINGTON: Mainly fine with frosts in sheltered places this morning. Northerly winds developing.

GISBORNE and HAWKES BAY: Cloud and a few light coastal showers clearing this morning and becoming fine everywhere with southwest breezes.

WAIRARAPA: Mainly fine inland but a few cloudy periods about the coast this morning. Southwest breezes.

NELSON: Fine with light winds.

BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Mainly fine but cloudy about Fiordland with a few light showers possible. Southwest winds.

MARLBOROUGH and CANTERBURY: Fine and frosty with light winds inland and northeast breezes developing about the coast.

OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Fine and frosty inland with light winds. About the coast, cloudy at times with westerly winds.

CHATHAM ISLANDS: A mix of cloud and fine breaks with a few light showers and southwest winds.

THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Fine and frosty over the North Island and upper South Island. Cloud increasing south of Canterbury however with rain developing on the west coast. At the Chatham Islands, cloudy at times with southwest winds.
